Arizona Dad Beat Kids With a Large Spoon, Police Say

TUCSON, Ariz. – An Arizona father was arrested after he allegedly used a large plastic mixing spoon to hit his young children.

Sierra Vista police said 23-year-old Luis Ramirez faces two counts of child abuse.

Ramirez's mother and the mother of his two children reported that he struck the children with a large plastic mixing spoon on Saturday.

Police say a 4-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy had bruises on their shoulders.

Ramirez was arrested Monday morning.
