Panama City Beach police say a spring breaker fell from a motel roof and landed on his face.

Police say 20-year-old Jonathon Dial from Crossville, Tenn., "had been drinking all day" when he returned to the Super 8 motel Tuesday night.

Authorities say Dial climbed over a railing and onto the roof of the motel. He slipped and fell about 15 feet.

The officer who responded to the scene noted that Dale appeared to have facial fractures, teeth missing and possible head injuries.

Dial was taken to Gulf Coast Medical Center Wednesday afternoon where he was listed in critical condition.

A police spokesman says it's a misdemeanor to climb on balconies in Panama City Beach, but the police department won't likely charge Dial with a crime.
