6 People, Including 3 Children, Killed in Head-On Crash Outside Roswell, N.M.

ROSWELL, N.M. – New Mexico state police say six people, including three children, have been killed in a head-on crash west of Roswell.

State police spokesman Peter Olson said the driver of a car lost control and veered into the path of a van Friday afternoon.

He said the car's driver and two adults and three children in the van were pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were injured.

The crash occurred on U.S. 70 about 20 miles west of Roswell.
