The claws are officially out in the feud between “American Idol” judges Kara DioGuardi and Paula Abdul.
Yesterday, Abdul made headlines when she griped that four judges on the hit reality show wasn’t such a good idea.
"We tried four judges before and it doesn't work. It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show," Abdul told OK! Magazine.
But DioGuardi isn’t taking Paula’s comments lightly, and is firing back at her co-host.
“Paula has a right to her opinions, but I was disappointed by her comments, and hurt that she did not express them to me in person,” she told Access Hollywood.
“I am proud of my contributions to the show, and remain excited about the rest of the season,” she added.
But in a possible attempt to clear the air, Abdul said Wednesday that her comments were “taken completely out of context,” and that she was not referring to DioGuardi.
“I was actually referring specifically to the use of ‘guest judges’ in seasons past, not Kara [DioGuardi] or this season,” she said. “I am thrilled to have her by my side each week on ‘American Idol’”
