15 Nigerian Soccer Team Players Die in Bus Accident

JOS, Nigeria – Police say a bus carrying a Nigerian soccer team collided Sunday with a vehicle transporting cattle, killing 15 people.

Plateau State police spokesman Saidu Ibrahim said 12 players and three coaches died instantly in the crash Sunday afternoon on the road connecting the Nigerian capital of Abuja another city in the region. Witnesses said seven other people were taken to a hospital for treatment.
