Two motorists were arrested Wednesday after a verbal fight turned physical and spilled into the right-lane of a busy New York highway, the Staten Island Advance reported.

Jake Zabiak, 24, and Yao Zhou, 35, were pulled over on the side of the highway and out of their cars arguing before they started wrestling each other into oncoming traffic, according to the newspaper.

Zabiak was stabbed in the head, face and body. Both men were arrested and charged with assault.

Police told the newspaper a "sushi knife" was found at the scene.

It was not immediately clear what caused the argument.
