“Ugly Betty” star Rebecca Romijn gave birth to twin girls, Howard Stern announced on his radio show Monday morning.

Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip were born Dec. 28.

The newborn girls are the first children for Romijn, 36, and her husband Jerry O’Connell, 34.

Mother, father and both girls are all home and doing well," Romijn's rep Lewis Kay told People magazine.

The couple have been very vocal about their excitement over the start of their family.

According to Us magazine, Romijn referred to having babies as a dream.

“I was never a girl who dreamed about what her wedding day would be like, but I’ve always dreamed about decorating my baby’s nursery.”

She added that she was confident her husband would make a “fantastic dad.”

“He’s a pragmatic, smart, savvy, enthusiastic person. He really lives his life with tremendous integrity, and he’s a healthy person in every single way.”

O’Connell, for his part, joked that he only wants his girls to date “men who run countries.”

Indeed, the couple has had quite a sense of humor throughout the pregnancy, with Romijn joking in November that she was a “beached whale.”

O'Connell stars in the new Fox sitcom "Do Not Disturb."
