Eschewing the covers of celebrity magazines like OK! and People, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz instead published the first photo of their five-week-old son, Bronx Mowgli, on Pete's band's website.
Bronx Mowgli, born on November 20, made his public debut on Christmas day on FriendsOrEnemies.com.
"We decided to share the best gift we could ever receive with you: Bronx Mowgli Wentz," the couple wrote on a special holiday homepage. "We couldn't be happier. And in the spirit of the holidays, we'd like to encourage you to give on your own."

Bronx Mowgli weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and measured 20 1/2 inches long at birth. His name was widely discussed, with Pete and Ashlee explaining that his middle name came from one of their favorite stories.
"'The Jungle Book’ was something that me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s a cool name,” Wentz told Ryan Seacrest. Mowgli is the name of one of the characters. But Wentz wouldn't budge on the exaact origins of "Bronx."

“We came up with the idea Bronx. We’ve been throwing [ideas] back and forth a while,” he said. “It’s kind of cool to just leave the narrative what it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever. And you’re like, you know what: I don’t think anyone really has the real story.”
After much speculation, the couple confirmed they were expecting a child in late May.
"We wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child," a statement written on Wentz's blog said. "This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."
The pair wed in early May at Simpson's parents' Los-Angeles area home.
