You’ve all seen the cologne commercials… ya know the one where the guy walks by, the girl gets one whiff of him, and then instantly falls in love. Reality? We wish! But the truth is, a scent can really trigger and transform your emotions. Whether you’re looking to motivate yourself to go to the gym, or want to add a little romance into your relationship, our expert has the right fragrance to get you going. “The Candle King” and President of Home Design for Limited Brands, Harry Slatkin, shared his favorite scents to set the tone.
A scent for the season:
For me, the scent of Fall harvested apples signals that the season has arrived and my mind is instantly festive thinking about the forthcoming season. I have captured this experience in my Autumn Apple Candle. Trust me, light this candle and you will think that you are in the middle of an orchard on a blustery day.
A perfume to get you pumped:
Orange Ginger, always gets me going. The scent of orange helps to clear my mind while the scent of ginger revs up my engine. It keeps me focused, so I can cross the finish line in my mind.
A fragrance to fall in love:
Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin. In case you haven’t heard, the way to a man’s heart is not through his stomach but through his nose. The scent of pumpkin is an aphrodisiac to men and when you combine it with sweet cinnamon, what more could you ask for? Well, I'll let you answer this in the privacy of your own bedroom.
An aroma to get you inspired:
For me, inspiration comes from the classics and there is nothing more traditional than my Lilac Blossom Fragrance. One whiff of this timeless bouquet and my mind is full of thoughts and ideas that inspire me to create the next great thing.
A cologne for comfort:
Fresh Bamboo is what transports me to a place of better well-being. This modern scent of fresh bamboo, jasmine petals, and field grasses soothes the mind and emulates an aura of comfort and wellness.
