Authorities are awaiting autopsy results for a man who slipped and fell on a stake while refilling a deer feeder in the back of his truck.

Ashley Lehmann, 35, of Spring, died after he was impaled on a stake used to support the feeder, Victoria County Sheriff's spokesman Herb Tucker said in Wednesday's online edition of the Victoria Advocate.

Another hunter found Lehmann dead at about 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Justice of the Peace Henry Welfel has ruled Lehmann's death an accident, but Tucker said the investigation is ongoing.

An autopsy will be conducted at the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the exact cause of death. The results could take up to a month.
