Another day of searching failed to find a mother of two who vanished last weekend from her Jackson County home.

Officials said the hunt for 27-year-old Alisha Sidie was halted Wednesday at 4 p.m. and would resume Thursday.

Sidie's ex-husband, Doug, said his wife left home about 9 p.m. Friday and never returned. He reported her missing about 6 p.m. Saturday.

Sheriff's Sgt. Pat LaBarbera said officials still are treating it as a search and rescue mission, not a recovery effort.

Hundreds of volunteers have helped in the search that has included police canines, boats, helicopters and vehicles.

Sidie's ex-husband said his wife left home about 9 p.m. Friday and never returned.

She was last seen wearing light blue scrubs and a long-sleeved T-shirt. Alisha Sidie is described as 5-foot-5, 135 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at (715) 284-5357.
