Chaos erupted for Britney Spears and her family when son Jayden reportedly suffered a suspected seizure yesterday afternoon, the U.K.’s Daily Mail is reporting.
The toddler was rushed to a local Louisiana hospital after he appeared “vague and unresponsive,” a source told the Mail.
After Jayden fell ill, the Spears family opted not to wait for an ambulance and instead rushed him to the hospital. Sister Jamie-Lynn Spears blocked the paparazzi from following the cars by driving alongside another vehicle to keep them back while Spears sped away, the Mail said.
The family was staying at their home in Kentwood, La. It was the first time Spears has been permitted to leave California with the boys, Jayden James, 2 and Sean Preston, 3, since father Kevin Federline was granted full custody in July.
Spears, 26, refused to leave her son’s bedside, the Mail said.
“Jayden James had to be kept in hospital overnight for observations,” the Daily Mail quoted a source as saying. “We don’t yet know what’s wrong with him.”
