Arizona police are searching for a missing Avondale woman and her 3-year-old daughter, who allegedly were kidnapped from their home on or around Friday.
Liliana Beatrice Iboa, 20, and Karen Bianay Cervantes were reported missing by Iboa's husband, Benito Cervantes Mena, shortly before 10 p.m. on Friday night.
Mena told police he had been out of town when he received a call Friday morning from an unidentified male suspect claiming he had his wife and daughter. The caller demanded a ransom, according to police.
When Mena got home he found his home had been broken into and burglarized. He told police he did not report the incident right away because he feared his family would be harmed.
