Harrison Ford Wins Presidential Poll

Harrison Ford played a tough-as-nails president who fought off hijackers in 1997’s “Air Force One.” Now the actor has topped Moviefone.com's list of fictional presidents.

Ford won going away with 24 percent of the more than 1.1 million votes tallied. Morgan Freeman came in second with 16 percent for his role as a president charged with saving the Earth from a comet in “Deep Impact” (1998).

“It seems everybody is looking for a commander-in-chief who can come in and take command,” said Moviefone's Scott Robson. “Our readers voted with their hearts at a time when you have the economy going down the tubes, but in an ideal world it would be great to have a president who can kick some ass.”

Michael Douglas came in third for “The American President” (1995), and Bill Pullman, followed for his role in “Independence Day”
