SIOUX CITY, Iowa – A Lawton man has been blinded after taking a punch in the eye for the second time in three months — at the same bar, police said.
Scott Bennett, 48, was assaulted early Sunday morning at Mavericks, a men's night club in Sioux City, Sgt. Tony Sunclades said.
Bennett was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but Sunclades said Bennett's injuries were severe enough that he lost his eye. Sunclades said the man lost his other eye in an assault three months earlier at the same bar.
Ryan Brodie, of Sioux City, was arrested in connection with Sunday's incident. Sunclades said he was initially arrested for public intoxication, but says additional charges are likely.
