Police are searching for an armed man who carjacked a woman and dangled her 10-month-old daughter by the ankles before driving away in her car.

Alyssa Gould was carjacked Friday morning in Ormond Beach, Fla., according to local media reports.

The carjacker jumped into her Isuzu Trooper and pointed a gun in Gould's side before stopping the vehicle and threatening to harm her baby.

"He got out and got into the back and undid her baby seat and held her up by her ankles and told me if I wanted my daughter alive to get out of the car and get her," Gould told MyFOXOrlando.com. "I immediately did. I ran. I grabbed her. He pushed her into my arms, and then pushed us both to the ground."

Her SUV was found abandoned and out of gas a few hours with Gould's credit cards and cash missing, MyFOXOrlando.com said.
