DETROIT – A Michigan man remains in custody while police continue looking for the toddler who was last seen with him.
Police say 27-year-old Jamrul Hussain was arrested Saturday at the Hamtramck house he shares with 24-year-old Nilufa Begum, the mother of 2-year-old Tangena Hussain.
An Amber Alert has been issued in the disappearance of Tangena, who was last seen Thursday night in Detroit in Hussain's car.
Jamrul Hussain, who is not related to Tangena, has not been charged in the girl's disappearance. He was being held on a separate assault charge stemming from an incident earlier this year with a minor.
