The race for the White House is getting catty on the catwalk, with both Sarah Palin and Barack Obama inspiring styles at Paris Fashion Week.

A variation of Palin's signature beehive-with-bangs hairdo was seen at Yves Saint Laurent's spring-summer show on Thursday, when designer Stefano Pilati sent models down the runway with piled-high beehives that appeared to be channeling the 44-year-old former-beauty-queen-turned-vice-presidential-candidate's look, although without the bangs.

And unlikely as it sounds, Obama has inspired a line of ... dresses. In Paris on Friday, a model wore a short frock featuring a portrait of the Democratic presidential candidate. The creation by French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac was seen during a presentation of his spring-summer 2009 ready-to-wear collection.

Palin-mania extends beyond the Alaska governor's mane. Manufactures have seen increased demand for her red Naughty Monkey peeptoe heels, her eyeglasses and even her makeup.

First lady hopeful Michelle Obama has also won fashion raves, drawing comparisons to style icon Jacqueline Kennedy with her classic dresses, pearls and flipped-up hairstyles.

John McCain and Joe Biden have yet to spark any trends, but there's still a month left until Election Day.
