John Edwards' mistress, Rielle Hunter, was hired for $114,000 by the former senator's political action committee to produce Web documentaries, or "Webisodes," for his presidential campaign.
She and her crew from Midline Groove Productions produced at least four videos in 2006 and 2007, including one in which Edwards says he hopes to be judged for "who I really am."
"I've come to the personal conclusion I actually want the country to see who I am, who I really am, but I don't know what the result of that is," Edwards says in one segment, apparently shot aboard a campaign plane.
"For me personally, I'd rather be successful or unsuccessful based on who I really am, not based on some plastic Ken doll you put out in front of audiences. That's not me," he says.
