A suspect was in custody and about 60 to 80 roosters were confiscated after police raided a bloody cockfighting operation in a Florida backyard.
Cops arrested Carlos Ramos, 47, for his role in running the illegal sporting outfit in Orange County, MyFOX Orlando reported Tuesday.
The makeshift rooster-fighting ring was a fiberglass pool liner covered with hay. Deputies said they found blood spattered on the walls.
Animal Control officers had been tipped off to the operation and called deputies for assistance.
Homeowners would not comment on the raid or the arrest.
