Bush Nominates New Small Business Administration Chief

WASHINGTON – President Bush has picked Sandy Baruah, an assistant secretary of commerce, to lead the Small Business Administration.

Baruah has served in the Bush administration since 2001, most recently as assistant secretary of commerce for economic development.

If confirmed by the Senate, Baruah would take over from acting administrator Jovita Carranza.
