A Miami man was arrested for allegedly injecting women with silicone to enhance their buttocks at so-called "pumping parties" even though he doesn't have a medical license.

The Florida Department of Health said Anthony Donnell Solomon was charged with illegally practicing medicine, a third-degree felony that carries a sentence of up to five years in jail and a $5,000 fine, according to The Miami Herald.

Solomon allegedly gave women shots of silicone at a number of Miami-Dade-area "pumping parties" — gatherings in houses or hotel rooms that women attend to get injections to enlarge their buttocks, the Herald reported.

State investigators discovered Solomon's alleged involvement in the practice in May and set up a fake party to catch him in a sting. Police told the newspaper that he was arrested when he tried to inject an undercover detective.

The silicone injections "can be extremely harmful and can potentially cause serious infections. Anyone who has obtained them from Solomon is strongly encouraged to seek immediate medical attention," the state health department warned.
