Authorities were working to get a small plane off Interstate 95 near Daytona Beach after it made an emergency landing.

Volusia County sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught said the landing happened Tuesday afternoon in the Ormond Beach area. No one was injured.

Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Michael Roden said a flight student and an instructor were aboard the plane and decided to land when the aircraft developed an engine problem.

The roadway has remained open and the plane has been moved to the median, according to Roden. He said Federal Aviation Administration authorities will inspect the plane to see if it can fly off the interstate.
