Authorities are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a man outside a Denny's restaurant in Orlando, Fla., early Monday, Local6.com reports.

A 24-year-old man was killed in the parking lot of the restaurant at around 3:30 a.m. after several shots rang out, the station said.

Three cars are believed to have been involved in the incident, according to an off-duty police officer, who was inside Denny's during the shooting, Local6.com said.

Police closed several local roads in their search, and found one of the cars involved in the shooting abandoned in a nearby neighborhood, the station said.
