A convicted killer faces a new murder charge after the severed limbs of a South Florida jeweler were found in trash bins throughout a Miami suburb.

Guillermo Denis Gonzalez is being held without bond at the Miami-Dade County jail on a charge of first-degree murder. Jail records early Thursday did not show whether he had an attorney.

Authorities say the jeweler's body parts were found Saturday wrapped in garbage bags in four trash bins across Hialeah's warehouse district. Detectives say Gonzalez's fingerprints were on the bags and surveillance video shows him placing garbage bags inside one bin.

Hialeah's police chief says Gonzalez confessed to stabbing Sergio Quintero and dismembering him after an argument.

Gonzalez was convicted of second-degree murder in 1992 and released from state prison in 2004.
