Ohio Mother Pleads Guilty to Murdering Her Children by Burning Their Home

DAYTON, Ohio – A woman has pleaded guilty to murder and arson charges for killing her two young children by setting fire to the family's house in a suburb of Dayton, Ohio.

Heather Silverman faces a sentence ranging from 30 years to life in prison.

She entered her plea Wednesday to two counts of murder and three counts of aggravated arson.

The fire killed Silverman's 4-year-old son and 4-month-old daughter in July 2006 in the southwestern Ohio community of West Carrollton.
