Traffic investigators said a man who landed on Interstate 70 after crashing his sport utility vehicle was run over at least three times, including once by a car that crashed.

Colorado State Patrol troopers said the unrestrained man was ejected when he lost control of his SUV, which rolled 1-1/2 times. Troopers are considering charges against the driver of the car that crashed after running over the man.

No injuries were reported in the second accident.

Trooper Gilbert Mares said two of the cars did not stop, though one driver called to report rocks on the road. Mares said it appears those drivers thought they hit something else.

The rollover early Tuesday happened about 40 miles east of a pile up Monday afternoon on the interstate involving up to 75 vehicles that killed one and injured about 22 people.
