The FBI is asking for the public's help in catching a bank robber dubbed the "Note Bomb Bandit."

The suspect is believed to have held up two Washington Mutual branches on Friday and he robbed a Wachovia bank two weeks ago, according to FBI spokeswoman Judy Orihuela.

The man enters each bank with a small box wrapped in duct tape and presents a note to the teller saying the box is a bomb and he has a gun, according to the FBI.

The suspect was wearing a white construction hard hat in the first robbery, authorities said. In the second and third robberies, he was dressed in a camouflage baseball cap and camouflage or blue T-shirt.

Anyone with information on the identity of the robber is asked to call the FBI at (305) 944-9101.
