Authorities say a car drove off a hilly state highway in northern Ohio, overturned, struck several trees and caught fire -- killing the three men and two women inside.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the accident took place just after 4 p.m. Saturday on State Route 603 near Mansfield, about 70 miles northeast of Columbus.

Authorities say one victim was ejected from the Chevrolet Lumina before it came to rest upside down. Rescue workers needed more than three hours to remove the bodies of the other four victims.

Troopers were still working to identify the victims late Saturday night.
