Border Patrol agents stopped a big-rig in the Southern California desert and found nearly two tons of marijuana concealed in a shipment of hay bales.

The driver, whose name wasn't released, was arrested early Tuesday.

The Border Patrol says agents in Indio stopped the tractor-trailer rig, and a drug-sniffing dog was brought in to examine the cargo.

More than 3,800 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $3 million was then found concealed in the hay bales.

In the past 30 days, El Centro Sector border agents have seized more than four tons of pot, 54 pounds of cocaine and more than three pounds of methamphetamine.
