A 27-year-old man was found dead on an Amtrak train as it arrived in Salt Lake City, police said.

The man boarded the train in Reno, Nev., and was traveling to South Dakota, Det. Jeff Bedard said.

According to passengers, the man was breathing heavily in his sleep but was unresponsive when the train pulled into Salt Lake City about 4:20 a.m. Friday.

No foul play is suspected. An autopsy will be performed. The man's name was not released.

The train began its trip in Emeryville, Calif., and was bound for Chicago.
