A 51-year-old man charged with 184 counts of child pornography was caught in Thailand, ending a four-year search, MyFOXOrlando reported.

In an undercover Internet sting, Vermont police posing as a 14-year-old boy made contact with James John Betts in 2004.

Betts sent several pornographic images of minors to the agent through e-mails, prompting them to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Office, who executed a search warrant at house.

He provided police with several computer discs containing child pornography, but several weeks before his trial, he disappeared, the station reported.

"I do have reason to believe he did have sex with under age children, whether in the U.S. or overseas," Sgt. Kevin Stenger, with the Orange County Sheriff's Office, who has been trying to find Betts ever since, told MyFOXOrlando.com.

When Betts was found in Thailand, he was teaching at a boys' school there.

Thailand authorities deported Betts to Los Angeles, where is he is waiting extradition.
