OCOEE, Fla. – A group of women and men at a Florida hospital are using children to distract victims while they steal their purses, Local6.com reported on Saturday.
Police believe the perpetrators, who disguise themselves in hospital scrubs, are stealing women’s purses and immediately spending the money after using children to distract their targets at the Health Central Hospital in Ocoee.
"I checked my bank statement and there were airline tickets for $500 to the Philippines," victim Heidi Bernette said.
