SANTA FE – Legislation introduced in the state Senate proposes charging a $5 fee for each customer visiting a strip club in New Mexico.
The money would be used to help prosecute sex crimes in the state.
The measure is sponsored by Sen. John Grubesic, D-Santa Fe.
The fee would begin next Jan. 1 if approved by the Legislature and signed by Governor Richardson.
