A British mother was imprisoned after she allegedly kept her daughter home from school for a variety of reasons, including “she had a bad hair day” and “she had cat hair on her pants,” the London Daily Mail reported Tuesday.

Dawn Joyce is accused of allowing her 14-year-old daughter Carrie-Ann to play hooky 90 days over a 20-week period, the Mail reported.

After a trial, Joyce was found for the absences and spent two weeks in the slammer. She claimed her daughter was scheming to avoid school.

But perhaps the wrong woman was rehabilitated. Carrie-Ann, who now lives with her 19-year-old sister, was seen shopping on Monday when she should’ve been at school, the Mail reported.

"I don't want to put mum through this, but I just don't want to go to school,” she told the Mail.

Other reasons for Carrie-Ann’s many absences include dying her hair and not liking the color, cleaning her room, being tired, and the obligatory “It’s Monday.”
