A North Carolina community wants to know why four nooses were placed on a high school campus last week, drawing charges of racism, MyFoxWGHP.com reported.
High school administrators, parents and church leaders met Tuesday night to discuss the incident that the school believes was not racially motivated.

Some parents disagree.
"There's at least a gap in the understanding of what one generation has about these kind of symbols versus another generation that went through them," said Dan Reynolds, a parent.
The High Point Human Relations Commission reviewed the incident and called it "an overt display of hate and racial intolerance.
"Racism is alive in High Point, North Carolina, and reared its ugly head in an overt level," according to a statement.
The school plans to develop a unity program for students.
"We’ve never really looked at racism as an issue here," said Arlicia Lindsey, student council member at T. W. Andrews High School.
