BELLINGHAM, Wash. – With daylight, the search has resumed for a missing hiker on Mount Blanchard south of Bellingham in Skagit County.
About 75 people — with dogs, on horseback and using a helicopter — have been looking for the 15-year-old Lynden boy.
He became separated from a YMCA group on a day hike Tuesday and did not make it back to the trailhead.
His family believes the boy may have been injured in a fall. He was not equipped to stay outside overnight, but temperatures have been mild.
