Many of the Democrats running for president will speak at the DailyKos convention next week. That is a major mistake.

While all of those Democrats lean left, most are not far left, but the Kos is. Very far left.

So the candidates will be tarred with that radical brush. And that is not a good place to be. Here are some of the things the far left wants. A cut and run strategy in Iraq, which would leave the Middle East in chaos and greatly strengthen the terrorist element in play there. Higher taxes in the USA, which would pay for entitlements like socialized medicine. Those taxes might very well lead to recession, as investors paying much more on profits would invest less.

America has full employment right now. A tax hike might stop that in its tracks.

The redistribution of wealth in America, also by higher taxation for corporations and the affluent. This would result in assets being moved offshore to places like Curacao, which ironically far left financier George Soros has a base.

The removal of billions from the U.S. monetary system would undermine the economy for decades.

The abolition of tough anti-terror measures like NSA phone surveillance, coerced interrogation of terror suspects, and military tribunal trials for those suspects. That would make it much more difficult for the USA to prevent terror attacks and isolate captured terrorists.

Now I can give you 20 more examples, but you get the idea. The far left wants a quasi-socialistic economy and a one-world foreign policy, where national security decisions are made only with the approval of other countries.

And don't forget the open border policies of the radical left. So that's the soup the Democratic presidential candidates will be dining on when they show up at the Kos convention. Moderate Democrats and conservatives want no part of it. And most independents reject the radical agenda as well.

So why are the candidates pandering to this far left bunch? I don't know. And that's the "Memo."
