HOUSTON – A teen convicted of murder in crime spree lunged towards a member of the murder victim's family in Houston court after he received the death Wednesday, reported MyFOXHouston.com.
Deputies tackled Dexter Johnson, 19, after he knocked a computer monitor on the defense table and several chairs while moving towards the victim's family immediately after he was sentenced in the rape-slaying of Maria Aparece. He was dragged out out of side door to the court in footage captured by MyFoxHouston.

The outburst began when Johnson's family members screamed and cried after hearing the sentence. One person collapsed and an ambulance was called, the Houston Chronicle reported on its Web site.
Johnson's mother started crying out after the verdict was read and members of his family tried to approach him and the deputies, reported MyFoxHouston.com. Johnson's family was escorted out of the courtroom.
Johnson was found guilty last week for his part in a string of crimes during Father's Day weekend of 2006 in which of five people carjacked Aparece and her boyfriend, Huy Ngo.
The couple were driven around Houston and threatened with a shotgun and a pistol as the assailants demanded money, credit cars and ATM access numbers, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors said Johnson raped Aparace in the backseat of her car after parking near a patch of woods. Ngo was forced to listen to the assault on his knees as the other four taunted him.
The couple were marched into the woods and shot in the head.
Three others still face capital murder charges in the incident. A juvenile has not been charged.
