BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – A female was hospitalized in critical condition after being stabbed in the stomach by a 14-year-old boy at the Mall of America, police said Saturday.
The stabbing happened around 2:30 p.m. on the third floor of the mall, said Commander Jim Ryan of the Bloomington Police Department. The suspect was taken into custody, Ryan said.
Police were still trying to find out what caused the confrontation and determine the relationship between the boy and the victim.
Ryan said he didn't have information on the victim's age or where she was hospitalized.
Nobody else was hurt, he said.
