Fallen pop princess Britney Spears checked into a rehab facility earlier this week, but she refused to stay and checked out less than 24 hours later, reports say.
Spears, 25, checked herself into Eric Clapton's Crossroads Centre in Antigua "two or three days ago" but left after just one day and headed to Florida, a source told People magazine.
Spears is currently on her way back to Los Angeles, TMZ reported.
Spears was last seen leaving New York City two nights ago on a private jet with her two young sons Sean Preston, 17 months, and Jayden James, 5 months, heading to Miami. Then she disappeared off the paparazzi radar, the entertainment television show "Extra" reported.
The rehab news comes after months of Spears' hard partying — including a public display of her private parts and collapsing of "exhaustion" on New Year's Eve — and friends reaching out to her to seek help.
Spears' reps told "Extra" that they have "no comment."

Meanwhile, an e-mail from Spears' former assistant Felicia Culotta posted on a Web site's gossip blog says the 25-year-old pop star needs to get her act together because she's headed for "rock bottom."
"I cherish ALL the incredible opportunities that came my way thru my job with Britney and am crushed/saddened/heart sick by the way her life is unfolding," says the e-mail, posted this week on ThatOtherBlog, a gossip blog on the Hollywood.com Web site.
The e-mail, addressed to "Ruben," was sent in response to an editorial "Why Britney Is Asking for It," according to the blog.
"I want you to know Ruben that WE (as in her Family and nearest and dearest — ALL of whom are not on the payroll anymore!!) are doing EVERYTHING in our power to get help for Britney," writes Culotta, who says she worked for Spears for nearly 10 years.
Since filing for divorce from Kevin Federline in November, Spears has drawn criticism for her drinking, partying and sloppy appearance.
"Ruben," who runs ThatOtherBlog, told The Associated Press on Friday that Culotta is a good friend and that he is declining media requests to interview her. In her e-mail, Culotta said she is working as a corporate flight attendant and living in Mississippi.
"There's just so much you can do to help a person — I don't dare want to be an enabler, and I cannot love her enough for the both of us," Culotta says.
"I cannot convince her in ANY way to love herself. ... I cannot save her from herself, nor can I commit her to any type of treatment program against her wishes and will."
Culotta says Spears' friends are doing "all in our power to NOT pad the bottom or move the bottom, so when she does indeed hit rock bottom, she'll stand up and walk away from this whole fiasco a new, confident, changed, career driven Britney like we all knew and loved."
Spears' ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake may have joined the star's former assistant in urging the one-time pop princess to clean up her act.
While accepting an award for Best International Male Solo Artist at the Brit Awards on Wednesday night, the 26-year-old sent out a message in his pre-recorded speech:
"Stop drinking! You know who you are. I'm speaking to you! You are going to get sloppy!" he said. "OK! Magazine is going to say something bad about you."
Timberlake's representative insisted he wasn't referring to Spears, “just people in the crowd, no one in particular.”
New York Rabbi Shmuley Boteach has also joined the campaign to save Spears, writing an open letter to the single mom, appealing for her to “get her life together."
“Letting your kids see you in a degraded state will permanently scar your kids," wrote Boteach. "Soon your boys will be surfing the Internet. They'll see a lot of photos of you in poses that no son should ever see their own mother. Try and be home with your kids ... Cover up ... Limit the visits to the nightclubs."
