Ethiopian and Somali troops came under attack from rocket propelled grenades in the capital, Mogadishu, residents said Tuesday.

Two rocket propelled grenades were fired at a base housing Ethiopian soldiers, Abdulllahi Bakistan told The Associated Press.

"Two attacks were launched at the camp where Somali and Ethiopian troops are stationed. They were rocket propelled grenades."

It was not immediately clear if anyone had been injured in the attack.

"There was an explosion near to where Ethiopian soldiers are stationed," said another resident, Ali Ahmed. "Then there was gunfire."
