Fire Breaks Out at Iowa Oil Facility

Fire broke out early Thursday in a building at Stern Oil Co., which stores oil.

Dozens of firefighters from seven departments were on the scene. One firefighter was being treated for smoke inhalation, The Daily Nonpareil reported.

There were no reports of explosions, the newspaper said.

Firefighters were called to the scene around 4:30 a.m. First responders immediately called for more help.

WOWT of Omaha, Neb., reported the fire was inside a steel building and flames were leaping 20-to-30-feet at times.

The company houses oil for distribution.
