Never mind they're now going to allow "some" liquids back on airplanes — the amounts are small, but some say it's a small step back to normal.
Enjoy it while you can, because it won't last. And the next crackdown will be a lot bigger than hair gel and shampoo.
Forget about those items in your carry-on bag. Actually, forget about the whole bag.
Because if I'm right — and I really think that I am — we are one bizarre air incident away from no carry-on luggage at all.
You want to bring a bag on the plane? Check it before you get on the plane.
No exceptions. No questions.
Don't believe me? Look around you.
Airlines are already cracking down on how many bags you can take on a plane. Do you really think it's that big a leap to say no bags on a plane?
I don't. It ends the debate, ends the long lines and likely ends the confusion.
The problem is, here's what it also ends: a lot of passengers.
Fewer will fly because they don't know what the heck they'll do up there when they do fly!
No laptops to get business done on the plane. Then a long wait for luggage after they get off the plane.
Which, I suspect, will prompt a lot of them to say, the hell with the plane.
But not all. Some have to fly.
Even if they're treated like cattle. And even when they're given a bum steer.
