Two additional suspects were taken into custody Friday for questioning in the brutal mob beating of a 50-year-old motorist.

The suspects questioned were 19 and 22 years old, said Capt. Gregory Habeck.

Prosecutors already are reviewing possible charges against five juveniles in the attack, including at least three reputed street gang members who allegedly hit Samuel McClain with a bottle, struck him in the face with a ball of ice and jumped off a car onto him.

The three were ordered held pending further investigation. Possible charges are also being considered against two 17-year-olds.

A group of as many as 15 youths punched, kicked and jumped on McClain after he honked for them to move out of the street Monday night, witnesses said.

McClain, 50, was in satisfactory condition Friday at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in suburban Wauwatosa. A doctor has said he was "very lucky to be alive."
