Knight, 40, was released late last week, officials at Mt. Sinai Medical Center said Tuesday. They refused to release any other information about Knight, citing patient privacy regulations. Knight's attorney in Los Angeles did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment.

Knight, the founder of Death Row Records and a central figure in the long-simmering feud between East Coast and West Coast rappers, was shot once in the right leg Aug. 28 during a party honoring rapper Kanye West in the VIP room at the Shore Club. Others who attended the event included Jessica Alba, Eddie Murphy, Paris Hilton, the Game and the Black Eyed Peas.

Miami Beach police have made no arrests in Knight's shooting and have complained about lack of cooperation from witnesses. Knight underwent surgery to remove the bullet from his leg and repair a fractured bone.
