Amber Alert for Nevada Girl, 8

Authorities have activated an Amber Alert for a missing 8-year-old Nevada girl.

Authorities believe Lydia Bethany-Rose Rupp (search) was abducted Friday night from her home in Fernley. She's described as 4-feet 9-inches tall, 85 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Fernando Aguero (search), a convicted sex offender who was last seen driving a silver or blue Kia Rio with no license plates.

Aguero is described as 47 years old with black/gray hair and brown eyes. He's 6-foot 1-inch tall, 175 pounds.

Authorities say Aguero has friends and relatives in the Las Vegas and San Diego areas and may be headed there.
