COTULLA, Texas – The body of a partially clothed pregnant woman has been found in a cemetery in what law enforcement officers are calling a brutal homicide.
La Salle County (search) Sheriff Robby Thomas said the woman, was found Tuesday in the Christo Rey Cemetery in Cotulla, appeared to be eight months pregnant.
Thomas says he believes the woman is from Cotulla.
He says the sheriff's office and Texas Rangers (search) have interviewed several people, but no motive has been established.
The sheriff discounted an early report that the woman may have been killed in connection with a statement she made to police about a robbery.
Cotulla is about 75 miles southwest of San Antonio (search).
