MONTGOMERY, Ala. – A statewide Missing Child Alert (search) has been issued for a missing 16-year-old girl in Alabama.
Authorities are on the lookout for Jade Sophia Padgett (search), a white female, who is five-feet-six inches tall, weighs about 115 pounds and has dark hair and dark brown eyes. Jade was last seen at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at Sand Rock School in Cherokee County.
Authorities said Jade was wearing a white T-shirt, faded blue jeans and tennie shoes. It is believed she may be with an older white male, possibly in his 30s, and may have met him over the Internet.
