Monday, Nov. 29:
President Bush picked Carlos Gutierrez (search), chief executive officer of the Kellogg Co., to be secretary of Commerce, replacing Commerce Secretary Don Evans, who announced his departure shortly after the election. This announcement comes as Bush is securing a new economic team to implement sweeping reforms in Social Security, income tax, and medical malpractice. Jim Angle reports from the White House.
And in Iraq, a terrorist blew up a car at a police checkpoint killing seven members of Iraq's national guard and injuring nine others. And in Mosul (search), at least 50 people have been killed in the past 10 days — most of them either supporters of Iraq's interim government or members of its security forces. FOX News correspondent David Piper has more on the troubles in Mosul.
And the Supreme Court hears arguments over the medical use of marijuana (search), FNC correspondent Megyn Kendall looks at what’s at stake in this case.
